CGENT
Generative design meets the sea. The Cgent collection combines modern generative design with nature-inspired shapes and maritime influences.
The set includes a bowl, mug and a textile table runner. The latter creates accents with prints reminiscent of waves and the use of cameo printing, which is reminiscent of sea foam and thus creates a contrast to the hard porcelain.
The outer contour of the porcelain objects and the number of ribs applied can be flexibly adjusted using variable parameters in the Grasshopper software.

PROCESS
Throughout the semester, ideas were developed, refined, and sometimes rejected, materials were tested, and concepts were honed. The process images offer a glimpse into the collaboration, the experimental interplay of textiles and ceramics and the journey toward the final designs.
