PILCA
Plica is a tableware and textile collection that combines porcelain and textile through a uniform design concept inspired by the elegance of the pleated structure. The poetic, minimalist design of the plates draws the eye from the rim to the centre with a gently flowing structure, bringing the food into focus.
The collection is complemented by a textile cloche and pleated napkins that harmonise with the tableware. Plica promotes the appreciation of food and is an invitation to conscious enjoyment.

Throughout the semester, ideas were developed, refined, and sometimes rejected, materials were tested, and concepts were honed. The process images offer a glimpse into the collaboration, the experimental interplay of textiles and ceramics and the journey toward the final designs.
