Graphic designs and editorial design about random finding and found objects. Randomness and anti-design are keywords. Consists of 5 printed matters realised in different styles and techniques.
Part 1: Illustrative book with part of the author’s found objects. The production on the risograph adds more uncertainty and playfulness onto the hand drawn illustrations.
Part 2: Hand bound book containing the introduction into the topic. The unconventional style of anti-design used here appears less readable yet it is conceptually tailor-made for the project’s topic of randomness.
Part 3: Deck of playing cards. Each card displays a paragraph about “Spieltrieb” (the drive to “play”) and a graphic associated with the words.
Part 4: Two-sided interleaved book. The one side is about theoretical content describing the usage of found objects in art, design and advertisement, on the other side self-created texts inspired by the collected objects in various genres are presented.
Part 5: Oversized poster with text about serendipity (happy accidental random findings). The full justification that the poster is layouted in is an editorial design experiment with size, font and spacing.
